Travel to New Heights with the Navigator Wednesday the 25th o January, 2006 (10:04AM)
UK warehouses are continually challenged with the need to comply with the latest health and safety regulations whilst ensuring efficiency is maintained. High volume item handling can often be problematic and time consuming. However, this needn’t be the case, as West Midlands based Barton Storage Systems Ltd offers the ideal solution for this dangerous practice, with the use of the Stockmaster Navigator.
The Stockmaster range consists of the Navigator, Navigator LT and the Navigator ELT, all of which vary to accommodate both the operating environment and the application.
The Navigator is a safe, productive and highly manoeuvrable mobile platform that features an ergonomically designed lift and steer control, eliminating the need for springs.
It delivers fast relocation, enables use as a platform trolley, and the four swivel castors allow multi directional movement and confined space navigation. The Navigator is supplied with two sets of platform safety rails which enables set up from a choice of three configurations to provide a safe working rail height for many applications, and is designed to meet the requirements of European Standard EN131: Parts 1 and 2.
The Navigator LT eliminates the dangerous practice of carrying items up and down a ladder, enabling loads of up to 60 kilograms to be easily handled by use of the automatic brake lifting table.
Embracing all the safety features of the Navigator together with vertical lifting capability, the Navigator LT provides a cost-effective answer for moderate volume item handling. In the picking process, items may be selected, lowered and transported in one action, eliminating the need for separate ladders and trolleys and consequently greatly improving productivity. The Navigator LT is designed to allow the lift table to be set at any height completely independent of the operator.
Incorporating all the properties of the Navigator and Navigator LT, the Navigator ELT features a battery powered lifting system and dual controls for easy table return and two person performance for volume shelf stacking. The design of the system ensures a silent and safe operation can be achieved, with a duty cycle exceeding one hundred operations per day.
Danny Rodbourne, sales director at Barton Storage Systems comments: "The various innovative properties of the Navigator range offer the ideal solution for picking, shelf stocking and transporting items that adheres to authority requirements. Additionally, as the majority of the components are aluminium, the steps are both lightweight and durable which is advantageous for a warehouse environment."
